Home Learning

This page was created when we had our first lockdown.  If you have to isolate, I will try to share workon Showbie, so if you need help accessing your child's account, please get in touch.  We have used Showbie in class a few times to get the children ready to use it more independently at home when necessary.

There will also be activities set on the usual online sites.  EducationCity now has access to all resources at all times, so if there are any additional activities which you would like to try, go for it (and let me know if you find a particularly fantastic one)!

Hopefully you will soon be back in school, but in the meantime please keep in touch, send me pictures, photos and videos via ClassDojo or email and keep checking back here for more activities.  My email address is:

For RWI speed sounds, please choose 2 or 3 of the speed sounds videos, I have included the video of how the sounds are pronounced to help.  This could be used instead if you find it easier.

Life Education Centre

We all enjoy our visits from the Life Education Centre and Harold the giraffe.  While we are in lockdown Harold has been keeping a diary of what he has been doing, and has some great ideas of activities you can do while we are at home.  If you would like to read it, click here.

Additional resources

The activities below are additional resources for if you would like something extra or something a bit different.  There is a set of activities and a guidance document with answers.  I will add more as they are released, and extra links as I come across them.  If you think there is something which would be good to share, please do let me know.

For some video tutorials on how to draw, try these videos on YouTube:

It is recommended that we do 60 minutes of physical activity a day!  To help you while you are at home, try some of these links.

10 minute moves

Change4Life and Disney have teamed up to bring you play-along games inspired by your favourite Disney and Pixar characters. These 10-minute bursts of fun will really get your kids moving and count towards the 60 active minutes they need every day!
