Uniform

As stated in our prospectus, we feel that wearing a uniform fosters a feeling of belonging and pride in our school.

We expect all children to wear school uniform including a PE kit. The uniform is informal and in the colours of royal blue and grey. The children have a choice of trousers or skirt, formal shirt or polo shirt, sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan. The school is registered with Tesco for items with the school logo we do keep a limited amount of stock in school. Sensible black shoes, not trainers, are to be worn.

All children’s clothing should be clearly marked with your child’s name so that lost items can be easily identified. Please endeavour to do this as much time can be wasted otherwise.

We do ask that suitable clothing and footwear are worn for PE. There is a school uniform PE kit available for all children for indoor lessons. For outdoor sessions children require t-shirt, with sleeves, tracksuit bottoms or shorts in summer, jumper and trainers.

It must be stated that it is County policy that no child may wear any form of jewellery whilst participating in any instructive physical activity and we extend this to no jewellery to be worn in school at all.

While we supply stocks of uniform in school, parents may purchase similar items from other outlets.

Ordering uniform - update

Following comments from parents regarding the quality of Tesco uniform, we have taken on board another supplier to enable us to provide a range of costs and hope that by using a number of suppliers, parents will have as many options as possible. Although we still have a limited amount of school uniform in stock through our original supplier, School Trends, we will now also be offering the online services from Border Embroideries, as well as Tesco/F&F.

Our embroidered schoolwear is now available for parents to buy online at https://www.border-embroideries.co.uk/schools/st-bees-village-primary-school-1.html.  Please take a look at the website and we would welcome your feedback in due course. Before you order, do check with us first as we still have stock available in school.

Although we have found the services of our current supplier faultless, costs and administration time are steadily increasing and we would like to trial this new system, which we hope will meet the standards that we have become accustomed to.

May we point out that School Trends, Tesco/F&F and Border Embroideries are the only suppliers licenced to use our school logo. We do work hard to provide a quality service for parents and other suppliers should not be using our logo, as they do not have the permission of the school.
