Year 4 Homework

Homework for each week will be available to view here on our class homework page. Your child will be coming home with information on how to login to EducationCity and MyMaths. If you have any issues please contact me via email or by contacting our school office.

Please continue to encourage your child to read at home, as reading is a very important aspect of learning moving forward. Most weeks, there will be two tasks set on Education City covering both English and Maths, as well as a task set on My Maths. The My Maths task, will seek to reinforce our current learning and provide a further challenge. Furthermore, a spelling task will be set based on pupils weekly spelling, punctuation and grammar lesson to strengthen your child's knowledge of this area. An extra writing task will also be set, which may be based on one of our current topics or an interesting theme.

In other weeks, your child might be given details of a further homework task involving making a product using everyday materials. This will link to a topic or subject area that we are looking at.

This weeks homework is due in on Monday 29th October after half term.

Poppy collage: on Wednesday 17th October this week, we are making a class collage of a poppy for our Art remembrance themed topic.  I would really appreciate it if you could send your child into school with everyday materials that are either red, black or green to be used to make our poppy collage. For example, bottle caps, card, paper, material, leaves, bags, container lids or any other materials you feel would be useful.

Thank you,

Mr Lloyd
