Humphrey Head 2021
Year 6 had a wonderful time on their recent residential trip to Humphrey Head near Grange-Over-Sands. As usual, this class were a complete delight to be with, enthusiastic, fun and an absolute pleasure. We had such a great time! We were incredibly lucky with the weather, the food was delicious and the activities were a challenge and great fun. Year 6 did us all proud and the staff enjoyed it as much as the children - after a year of being trapped in, it was great to be free! We did a variety of activities from canoeing to fell walking to Bush Crafts.
Please enjoy our photographs below.
We split into two groups for the day on Tuesday:
Group 1 climbed Gunners Howe and then went cat-canoeing.
Group 2 did a sea cliff traverse and then bush crafts.
On the second day we swapped and did the other activities.
On Thursday it was all to Fell Foot at the bottom of Windermere for raft building and kayaking - such great fun! Followed by a swim in the lake.
We were VERY late to bed the first night but during the week lights went out earlier and earlier and some sleepy heads found it difficult to open their eyes in the morning! Here are the obligatory cute roommate shots.
General mucking about at Humphrey Head; walking up the Head, playing out and team challenges on the last day.
