Homework- Spring Term 2021
Homework will be set each Monday and will be due to be completed by the following Monday- activities each evening should take no more than 20 minutes. The homework will reinforce work done in class during the week and will include: spellings, reading, writing, English and Maths using Education City (www.educationcity.com ) and MyMaths (www.mymaths.co.uk) or be of a research nature. Children also have access to activities on Spelling Shed ( https://www.spellingshed.com/en-gb) and Times Tables Rock Stars. (https://play.ttrockstars.com/login/43082)
I would also like to encourage the children to do some extra writing at home, therefore I will be putting a different picture on this page each week which I hope will act as inspiration for your child to do a piece of writing as homework. This could take the form of a description, poem, play, story, poster or any other type of writing! Once complete, the writing should be brought into school (on a Friday in their reading folder) to share with the class and then it will be kept in our special writing file for everyone to read!
Picture for week beginning Monday 1st March 2021
On Thursday,it's World Book day! For your writing task this week, you could write and illustrate your own mini book, design a new front cover and blurb for your favourite book, do a book review for a book you've recently read, write a poem about a book you've enjoyed, write a character description for one of your favourite book characters...the list could go on and on! Think of something interesting to write about on the theme of books...let your imagination run wild!
