Lockerbie Residential 2018

Dear Parents,

We have once again arranged to take Year 4 on a residential activity visit to Manor Adventure in Lockerbie from Wednesday 4th to Friday 6th July 2018.

It is well known that residential courses organised by schools are incredibly valuable as pare of the National Curriculum. Indeed, the Government has placed on record the beneficial effects on a child's progress that such courses provide. They offer new and exciting challenges and by living with their peers and working together in a team environment, help develop independence, confidence and an ability to recognise strengths and weaknesses in a constructive way.

At Manor Adventure fully trained and qualified instructors, with the support of school staff, provide instruction in a full programme of activities in a safe, controlled and secure environment. The activities include: Climbing, Abseiling, Fencing, High Ropes, Orienteering, Raft Building, Overnight Camps, and many more. The children will take part in a total of 9 activities over the 3 days which I will confirm with the centre nearer to the time.

The total cost of the visit to Manor Adventure is £220.00 and includes full board accommodation, all instruction and activities, equipment and safety equipment, achievement certificates and coach transport.

Unfortunately due to the demand for these courses we have been given a deadline of 30th January for deposits to be paid which is £50 per child. If your child would like to attend and you would like to register for a place for your child, please return the attached form with the deposit by Friday 26th January 2018. You are able to pay the remainder of the cost in instalments.

For further information about the trip, the activities and the centre please visit the website: I will hold and information session regarding the visit nearer the time.
