An afternoon with the National Trust
On move up day this year we spent the afternoon with Chris from the National Trust. We potted a selection of wild flowers which were left to grow over the summer. Later on in the Autumn will be visiting the Whitehaven coastline to plant the wild flowers in to the natural environment.
This activity fits in to our forthcoming science topic habitats. All children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As you can see from the photographs it was a very wet afternoon! This didn't put us off however, in fact many of the children enjoyed getting rather muddy!
